ByteFM Magazin Pierrot Raschdorff (The New Black Festival) im Gespräch
Am 6. April 2024 findet in Berlin im Theater des Westens zum ersten Mal das Festival The New Black. Celebration of Music, Literature & Culture statt. Ein Festival, das es sich zur Aufgabe gemacht hat, die Errungenschaften und kulturellen Beiträge Schwarzer Kultur in Deutschland zu würdigen und vor allem: zu feiern. Das Programm, das mit einer Keynote von Prof. Dr. Natasha A. Kelly eröffnet wird, umfasst dabei sowohl eine Lesung von Bestseller-Autorin Melanie Raabe als auch eine Podiumsdiskussion zum Thema „Black Leadership in Deutschlands Kulturinstitutionen“. In einem Fashion-Panel wird es außerdem um die Fragestellung „How Can We Empower Black-Owned Brands?“ gehen. Musikalisch eingerahmt wird das Festival von Auftritten von Alfa Mist, Les Amazones d’Afrique und Afrob.
