Der US-amerikanische Bluesmusiker und Mundharmonikaspieler Paul Butterfield wäre vergangenen Sonntag 75 Jahre alt geworden. Er spielte 1976 beim legendären Abschiedskonzert The Last Waltz von The Band und starb 1986 nur drei Tage nach seinem letzten Auftritt mit B. B. King, Albert King und Eric Clapton in Los Angeles.
Aktiv ist hingegen noch die Soulsängerin Carla Thomas, die in dieser Woche 75 Jahre alt geworden ist. Sie feierte ihre größten Erfolge gemeinsam mit Otis Redding.
