ByteFM Magazin Rats On Rafts im Gespräch
Die vierköpfige Band Rats On Rafts aus Rotterdam ist einer der spannendsten Post-Punk-/Pop-Acts aus den Niederlanden. Seit ihrem letzten Album "Tape Hiss" aus dem Jahr 2015 ist die Band von David Fagan, Arnoud Verheul, Natasha van Waardenburg und Mathjis Burgler mit Künstlern wie Pere Ubu und Mission Of Burma aufgetreten und war als Support für Franz Ferdinand in Japan unterwegs. Demnächst gibt es ein neues Album von Rats On Rafts mit dem Titel "Excerpts From Chapter 3: The Mind Runs A Net Of Rabbit Paths" und dieser Titel kann als exemplarisch für Sound und Motto der Band gesehen werden. Rats On Rafts sind, wie sie selbst schreiben, untrennbar mit der Rotterdammer New Wave-, Pop- und Punkszene verbunden und mit der musikalischen Einstellung "the weirder, the better".
