School Of Rock Tina Weymouth zum 75. Geburtstag
Mit ihrem Basslauf aus „Psycho Killer“ gab Tina Weymouth 1977 den Takt an für die neurotische Energie des New Wave. Dieser Song aus der Frühphase der Band ist einer der wenigen, bei denen die 1950 geborene Musikerin einen Credit im Werk der Talking Heads hält, obwohl ihr Bass-Spiel sowie die Drums ihres Ehemann Chris Franz natürlich elementarer Bestandteil des stilbildenden Sounds der Gruppe bis zum letzen Studio-Album („Naked“ von 1988) waren.
Zu ihrem 75. Geburtstag am 22. November 2025 widmet sich die School Of Rock eine Stunde lang Musik mit Bassgrooves von Tina Weymouth, neben Talking-Heads-Klassikern natürlich nicht zuletzt auch Stücken ihres viel gesampelten Projekts Tom Tom Club.
