Heute vor einem Jahr ist Steven William Forrest, besser bekannt als Steve Bronski, im Alter von 61 Jahren gestorben. Zusammen mit Larry Steinbachek und Jimmy Somerville hat der Musiker 1983 die Londoner Synth-Pop-Band Bronski Beat gegründet. Mit ihrer Debütsingle "Smalltown Boy" landeten sie 1984 einen Welthit.
